Ride the Storm is an experimental song which I have done in the style of a progressive rock song (eg early Pink Floyd or Porcupine Tree). It is the longest song so far (over 14 minutes) and I have tried to create a kind of soundscape which imagines conflict either between people or nations, and how by standing up to it there can be a positive outcome. The scene is how it felt when I was living in Bermuda and was at the beach looking out to sea when a hurricane was approaching.
There is a lot going on in the song, and if you listen to it I suggest that you listen to it loud with headphones. I used a number of cellos in the song, including one with distortion. There is more information on the song in the music section.Again Michael Krebs and Milan Holz have done a great job with the mixing and mastering.
Ride the Storm is the last song to be released in 2024. I have been very pleased that it has been possible to release all the songs I had been working on. This has only been possible because of the fast and enthusiastic support from Michael and Milan, and I look forward to working with them in the future.
In 2025 I will continue to produce and release songs, and it is my first aim to finish the second LP which needs another 2-3 songs.
