From the recording LP12 HORIZON IX
“Transcendence” portrays the final dissolution of boundaries between human and machine, dream and reality. The Architect — once a creator of systems and structures — becomes absorbed into his own design, until identity itself blurs. The verses recall the old world of towers, cities, and blueprints, but these dissolve into rain, silence, and memory. The pre-choruses suggest a living technology, circuits that breathe, glass and steel that flow like rivers, signaling a shift from fixed architecture to fluid being. The chorus declares this merging: man and machine dissolving into an endless horizon, where nothing remains separate, yet everything persists in transformed unity. The spoken bridge deepens this dissolution, evoking the collapse of time, space, and individuality into a vast collective memory. In the final chorus, transcendence appears both as liberation and erasure — a vanishing and a flame, where all things become themselves but lose their names. The repeating outro mantra, “All is lost, and all I know,” underscores the paradox: transcendence is at once fulfillment and annihilation, the closing of one world and the opening of another.
Lyrics
Verse 1
I drew the lines in fire and stone,
Built the towers, called them home.
Dreams of order, dreams of light,
Faded shadows in the night.
Pre-Chorus
The wires hum, the circuits breathe,
The world becomes what I believe.
Chorus
I am the Architect,
The end and the design.
Man and machine dissolve,
No borders left to find.
In the horizon’s endless glow,
All is nothing, all I know.
Verse 2
Cities melt in silver rain,
Blueprints burn but leave no pain.
Voices merge, the names are gone,
Every silence carries on.
Pre-Chorus
The glass, the steel, the living dream,
Flow together in the stream.
Chorus
I am the Architect,
The end and the design.
Man and machine dissolve,
No borders left to find.
In the horizon’s endless glow,
All is nothing, all I know.
Bridge
Every past… every future…
Every face… every place…
The self unravels, the self remains…
The horizon remembers…
Final Chorus
I am the Architect,
The vanishing and the flame.
Everything becomes itself,
And nothing has a name.
In the horizon’s endless glow,
All is lost, and all I know.
Outro
All is lost, and all I know.
All is lost, and all I know.
All is lost, and all I know.
