I spent such a long time working in schools, and saw so many children turning into adults and leaving, that I thought the time was right for a song about them - and the people who worked with them. This is a bit similar to the kind of speech that I made every year at the graduation ceremonies. But it can also be about taking big steps in other parts of life…..
