SCENARIO 2040 is a trio of songs about the effects of AI by this year. Each song looks at different scenarios – one dark, one optimistic and a middle way. There are links here to the song cycles “Futaria” and “Horizon IX” which go further into the future. All are connected to the need for awareness of what is to come, and rather than fight it or passively accept it, we need to be proactive in making choices which will help us to make the best of our lives and prepare for this inevitable future. The fourth song, Still Here, is an appeal to retain our humanity amidst this uncertainty and change.
